The Reverend Clarke French

Fr. French became the thirteenth Rector of Trinity Church on September 1, 2006.  A native of Toronto, Clarke is a twice graduate of Trinity College at the University of Toronto where as an undergraduate he studied Political Theory and German.  He completed his Master of Divinity degree in 1999.  Ordained that year in the Anglican Church of Canada, Fr. French has served parishes in and around Edmonton as well as New York City.  On October 26, 2006 Bishop Adams officially received Fr. French as a priest The Episcopal Church at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Syracuse.

While the vast majority of his ministry has been happily spent as a parish priest, the Rector has over the years also been extensively involved in the Cursillo movement, has served as a Regional Dean, and was the Spiritual Director for the Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) program in the Diocese of Edmonton.

Clarke is married to Sally, also an Episcopal priest, who is a licensed Christian Pilgrim Leader in the Holy Land.  Sally routinely leads groups of Christian pilgrims throughout the Middle East.  Together they are the proud parents of Jack, an indefatigable and strapping one year old, who is the apple of their eyes.

Fr. French can be contacted through the church office or at:  rector@trinitywatertown.org
